Physician-Led Restorative Wellness in Houston
You deserve a doctor who actually listens. A lot of our patients arrive at our Houston Heights clinic saying the same thing: "I'm doing the work, but I still feel stuck." They're tired of rushed visits and vague answers. They want a real plan — and a clinician who reads the labs, explains them, and follows through.

Dr. Xinwei Liu, MD
Medical Director | Aevum Restorative Wellness
Dr. Xinwei Liu is a board-certified Emergency Medicine physician and Medical Director of Aevum Restorative Wellness, where he is dedicated to helping patients restore balance, build resilience, and optimize long-term health through compassionate, evidence-informed care.
Dr. Liu's background and approach
With more than eight years of experience caring for critically ill patients in some of the busiest emergency departments across the country, Dr. Liu has seen firsthand what happens when disease, stress, pain, and emotional suffering reach a crisis point. He has cared for thousands of patients facing life-threatening illnesses, severe pain, trauma, psychiatric emergencies, and complex medical conditions across California, Indiana, South Carolina, Arizona, and Texas.
These experiences profoundly shaped his approach to medicine. In the emergency department, Dr. Liu became skilled at stabilizing patients during their most urgent and vulnerable moments. Over time, however, he developed a deeper conviction: the best care should not begin only when someone is already in crisis. Seeing so many preventable or progressive health issues culminate in medical emergencies inspired him to focus on a more proactive, restorative model of care—one designed to help people feel better, function better, and strengthen their health before illness or burnout takes hold.
At Aevum Restorative Wellness, Dr. Liu brings this preventive, longevity-focused philosophy to patients seeking improved vitality, emotional well-being, pain relief, metabolic health, and overall quality of life. His approach recognizes that true wellness is not simply the absence of disease, but the presence of energy, clarity, resilience, and the ability to live fully.
Dr. Liu completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego, where he developed advanced clinical expertise as well as a deep appreciation for the human side of medicine. His background in emergency care provides extensive experience in patient safety, acute pain management, advanced therapeutics, and high-stakes clinical decision-making. Today, he applies that same level of precision and attentiveness in a setting focused not only on treatment, but also on prevention, restoration, and long-term health optimization.
Throughout his career, Dr. Liu has cared for many patients living with depression, anxiety, PTSD, chronic pain, fatigue, burnout, and other conditions that can profoundly affect daily life. Many had tried traditional approaches without achieving meaningful or lasting relief. These experiences reinforced his belief that patients deserve care that looks beyond symptoms alone and considers the whole person—the mind, body, nervous system, lifestyle, and long-term health trajectory.
At the heart of Dr. Liu’s work is the belief that people should not have to wait until they are seriously ill to receive thoughtful, personalized medical care. Through Aevum Restorative Wellness, he and his team are committed to helping patients take a proactive role in their health, extend their healthspan, and build a stronger foundation for lasting well-being.
